PUBLIC SECTOR

Public Sector

Government plays a key role in mitigating climate change and are participatory in key international agreements such as the Paris Accord, Kyoto and the Montreal Protocol.  The Federal government prepares a National Inventory Report (NIR) annually and it is submitted to the United Nations.  Our focus is not on preparing the NIR but offering services, databases and tools to help government organizations establish their own environmental footprints.  There is also a lack of sub-provincial reporting at the metropolitan and municipal levels that requires these organizations to track their own foot-print as well as estimate community-wide emissions.
